During the 2007-2013 period Hungary is able to invest an annual rate of funding of 1000 billion for developing the country and closing the development gap. Serious preparation and planning based on wide-scope social partnership is needed in order to be able to invest this huge amount of funding.

The most relevant objective of the New Hungary Development Plan relates to raising the level of employment and establishing conditions underpinning permanent growth.

Therefore, coordinated state and EU development will be launched in 6 priority areas, namely: the economy, transport, initiatives targeting social renewal, environmental protection and energy, regional development and tasks relating to state reform.
